What The National War Museum Has Become

Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha says he is putting up statues because Africa is losing its history. The jury is clearly not on his side on splashing several millions of state funds on monuments (certainly not of Jacob Zuma’s), but he may have a point with the history part.

Will stories like this get the custodians of Nigerian history to call for a better management of historical sites and artifacts? And as for “honest conversation” about Biafra, maybe the ‘Ochioha’ will consider it more after his two-day visit to the South East.
